What Happened to May!?! AAAAHHHH!

Well, I moved…..so that happened. And I slacked off….so that also happened. But, I am back in action!

So here are your updates from the past and for the present.

On May 6, we had a successful Poker Run for Curtis White. We raised $1,119.40 for Curtis and his family. Great job everybody. You all are the bomb dot com!!

On May 15, we had a membership meeting and we found out that we needed to keep a little money back for our operating expenses. We are currently working to become an official non-profit organization and are working with lawyers to make sure everything is legal and fair.

We are currently working on coming up with some FUNdraisers <—- see what I did there πŸ˜‰ to assist in fulfilling these operating expenses.

On May 19, we had a Wheels Night to raise funds for our operating expenses. It seemed as if it was a lovely evening and I am quite sorry I had to miss it.

ON TO NEW BUSINESS!!!

On Wednesday, June 7, we are voluntarily mowing Camp Tan Da Ko. We are hoping to have everyone begin showing up at 4:00 p.m. Bring any lawn mowing/yard equipment that you can muster up and get ready to work, work, work!

On Saturday, June 10, we will be hosting John Vasek’s poker run out of Ace’s High Bar at 306 N. 6th Street, Perry, OK 73077. We will begin registration at 10 a.m.

On Monday, June 19, we will having a regular membership meeting at 7p.m. at the Dawg House at 1218 1/2 Rainbow Drive, Perry, OK 73077.

On Friday, June 23, we will be having Wheels Night at Ace’s High Bar at 6:00 p.m. We are also going to try to have a bake sale at Mingle On Main.

On Saturday, June 24, we are doing a membership trip to the Illinois River. We will be meeting up at the Arrowhead Resort. The number to reserve spaces is 1-918-456-1140 and you will ask for Brenda. Bookings are under Noble County Independent Bikers-Hayes. President Steve has estimated that is will cost between $40-50 to camp out versus rent a cabin?? Ask Steve and Mike they know all!

And last but not least in this busy busy month of June. On Friday, June 30 we are doing an additional bike night…notice I said bike night….but I don’t discriminate, honestly the parking lot kinda does, at the 101 Bar at 219 S. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077. It will start at 6 p.m. No potluck at this one :(….but there will be a 50/50 so yay!! And there will be alcohol so more yay!!!! This one is a last minute decision that will again aid in gaining those operating expenses and we will discuss in more detail at the regular membership meeting.

Whew! Please share our info. Like our Facebook page! And thank our sponsors on the contact page by checking out all the cool things they offer because they have been so GREAT to us this year. Truly couldn’t do it without them. πŸ™‚ Thank you, thank you, thank you all who help us spread the word and don’t charge us to do so.

Signing off! Happy June everyone!

-Last months highlights!

On March 25, member Bruce Asbridge held a Poker Run to benefit Clint Fleeson in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Thank you to all members who attended that run!

We had a successful first wheels night! We raised over $400 in the 50/50 drawing which gave the winner more than $200 in winnings! Hank Nida was our big winner and we appreciate his donation back to our cause.Β This past wheels night all money raised was donated to the Tohee and Fleeson families. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for helping those deserving individuals.

We also appreciate the Ponca Auto Group and our great friends at Osage ABATE for coming out to wheels night! Please all, continue coming and encouraging your friends in other organizations to come down and hang with us at Ace’s High Bar in Perry, OK.Β

To our donors! Thank you for your contributions to our door prizes. Rock Auto, Napa of Perry and Tonkawa, O’Reilly’s of Perry, Fastenal and whoever graciously donated the bandannas to us we appreciate you.

Earlier in the month we held a dinner for all Noble County First Responders and their families. Β We appreciate everyone’s help, the dinner seemed to me to be a great success. I know the food sure tasted great!

Things To Look Forward To

Hey guys,

I know it has been a while! This weekend is the 16th Celebration. N.C.I.B will be riding in the parade as well as manning a booth downtown. Members and non-members are invited. Come hang with us for the day, get your feet wet, then fill out that membership information and join this fantastic organization.

I will be taking photos at the celebration as best I can and an updated photo gallery is coming soon.

The September meeting and bug run have been cancelled as far as I know. We will just be focusing on having a fantastic 16th celebration and membership recruit event.

The next things you should be looking towards in your updated calendars should be the October meeting and the FOP Poker Run on October 15.

The meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on October 17, and at this time, will be held at CCC Lake. If anything changes, I will update as soon as possible.

The next poker run will be held on October, 15. I believe we will be riding to area Wal-Mart’s to collect toys for the Fraternal Order of Police Santa Cop Program. More information to come.

I hope to see you all at the 16th Celebration!

Also, just something to be thinking about! Officer elections are coming up in January. All membership dues must be paid and members must be in good standing with the organization to run for office. So, if you want to run for office or believe you are being considered for a nomination for office, please pay your dues, preferably by November! I really don’t think we will have a problem with this, but just in case. πŸ™‚

Thank you!

Thank you everyone for helping to make the Noble County Public Schools Benefit Poker Run a success. It didn’t seem like the rain scared anybody off, so that is great!

Now for some updates! This is a free website and with a free website comes some restrictions. We have ran out of space to add photos, so I am going to leave up our old photos that we have so far and come a little later into our fall season I will delete some of our older albums and start again.Β

Pay attention to that calendar, I will keep it updated as best I can but new events are popping up all of the time! We have a bike night this Friday, August 12, at Ace’s in remembrance of Tom Ryan. Please come down and celebrate his life with us! Don’t forget, this Saturday, August 13 is our bug run!
